The villas are situated on the edge of the village of Alsancak (Karavas), which is on a turning off the coastal road from Kyrenia (Girne) to Güzelyurt (Morfou).
The centre of the village is one mile away. There are several restaurants in the village. For about 10 TL (£4.20) you can buy a plate full of food at the kebab café; for a night out you can go to Cenap and eat a meze with two dozen small dishes of food for a fixed price of 20 TL (£8.20).
There are many beautiful beaches on the other side of the coastal road.
The nearest is Escape Beach only an eight minute walk away. Inland, the flat coastal plain on which the villas are built extends for about another mile before the road from Alsancak climbs up to the upper parts of the village of Lapta.
The highest point of the Besparmak (Pentadahtyl) mountain range (1,024m, 3,400ft) is only 3 miles from the villas. If the fancy takes you there is the potential for many beautiful drives and hikes in the mountains.
Kyrenia is 8 miles to the east, along the coastal road, and is regarded as the most beautiful and culturally impressive places in the whole of Cyprus. The Harbour here is absolutely stunning with many fabulous places to eat.
There is a frequent bus/dolmus service if you choose not to hire a car. The capital city of Lefkosa (Nicosia) is an easy half hour drive on good roads. |
